Jayne Macdonald

DIRECTOR

Jayne leads our Environmental/Resource Management Law team with over 30 years of experience providing expert advice in resource management and local government issues to both local authorities and private clients. 

Jayne advises on all aspects of environmental and local government law and frequently works with the firm's commercial clients on land development and tourism-related resource management as well as advising on related transactional matters.

An experienced advocate, Jayne regularly appears before local body hearings panels and the Environment Court.  She has conducted cases on appeal and judicial review proceedings in the High Court.  Her practice encompasses Chair and panel roles as an independent hearings commissioner.

Jayne takes an active interest in the community and holds a number of trusteeships including on the Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust, Lakes District Hospital Foundation, and the Mactodd Community Charitable Trust. 

Jayne is one of the firm's two Notaries.
