Clark Pirie
DIRECTOR
Clark Pirie brings over thirty years of commercial and property law experience to Mactodd Lawyers. His practice focuses on the practical realities of business and property transactions, providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients across the Central Otago and Queenstown region.
Originally from a sixth-generation Southland farming family, Clark brings a practical and grounded perspective to his work. Since joining Mactodd in 2002 and becoming a partner in 2006, he has developed a strong reputation for advising clients on a wide range of commercial and property matters.
Clark acts for business owners, developers, landlords, farmers, corporates and private individuals with property and commercial interests. His approach is pragmatic and solutions-focused - taking the time to understand the commercial context and helping clients structure transactions in a way that achieves their goals while managing risk.
Clark studied law at the University of Otago and began his career in Dunedin before spending time overseas. He returned to Queenstown in 2002 to join Mactodd. Outside the office, Clark enjoys making the most of the Central Otago lifestyle and can often be found on the golf course, at the clay target range, or spending time with friends and family.
“Clark’s attention to detail and commitment to his clients truly stood out. We’ve already recommended him to others.”
