Alex de Luen
Law Clerk
Alex joined Mactodd Lawyers in May 2026 and is part of the Commercial Team in the Queenstown office. He recently completed his Bachelor of Laws at AUT University while working in a top-tier commercial law firm environment, gaining valuable practical experience alongside his studies.
Alex is looking forward to working with clients across commercial and residential property transactions, as well as estate planning matters. He brings a strong interest in business, strategy and client service, together with a thoughtful and practical approach to his work.
Prior to joining Mactodd, Alex contributed to business growth and operational planning roles, including forecasting and range planning work that supported a record sales year for a national retail division. He also enjoys challenging himself outside of work and has learnt French to fluency.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys mountain biking and photography and is looking forward to becoming part of the Queenstown community.
