Experience:

Ray started his working life in the NZ Police before spending some years in Sydney.  He returned to Christchurch, qualifying in law in 1981. He practised in Christchurch and Ashburton before moving to an Alexandra firm in 1984 where he became a partner in that firm in 1988.  Having had a holiday home at Lake Hawea near Wanaka since 1985, Ray moved permanently to Wanaka at the start of 1996 where he started his own firm with an emphasis on urban and rural conveyancing, commercial and business law, trusts, estates and relationship property.

At the start of 2007, Ray retired from his busy Wanaka practice to work in several locum positions until joining Mactodd as an Associate in 2009, and with Graeme Todd is running the Christchurch office with particular  emphasis on setting up and promoting the new Lyttelton office where he has lived since October 2008.
