Rachel works in the Mactodd litigation team specialising in civil, family, employment, criminal and immigration law.
Rachel has regularly appeared in the Family Court on a wide range of parenting disputes and domestic violence matters. She has also represented clients at mediations, settlement conferences and family group conferences. Rachel can assist with negotiating separation and relationship property agreements.
Recently Rachel has been focused on advising clients on civil and construction disputes. She is focused on providing her clients with understandable, high quality legal advice in a cost effective and timely manner.
Previously Rachel was a founding member of the South Canterbury Young Professionals and member of the Family Courts Association.
Rachel studied at the University of Otago where she completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Science. She was admitted to the Bar in 2007. After graduating Rachel practised as a solicitor before travelling overseas and settling in London for two years. Rachel joined Mactodd on her return to New Zealand in 2011.
